We held a belated April meeting on Wednesday 14th May at Pete's house where we listened to the following pieces of music:
- Haydn, "Consummatum est" from The Seven Last Words by Lindsay String Quartet. (Annabel)
- Mahler, Adagietto from Symphony No 5 in C sharp minor by Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conductor Daniele Gatti. (Suzanne)
- "Suo Gân" Anonymous composer but words collected by Robert Bryan. Sung by Caryl Ebenezer. (Lin)
- "Mr Slater's Parrot" Bonzo Dog Band from album Keynsham. (Pete)
- Rodrigo, Adagio from Concierto de Aranjuez played by Manuel Cubedo with Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. (Diana)
- John Lee Hooker, "Boom boom" and "Dimples". (Geoff)
- Bruch, Adagio from Violin Concerto No1 performed by Cho Llang Lin with Chicago Symphony Orchestra. (Dave)
After a short break for refreshment we enjoyed some more selections:
- Julian Slade and Dorothy Reynolds, a few songs from the musical Salad Days performed by Peter Knight Singers. (Annabel)
