Despite the unpromising weather forecast, nine members gathered at Sarnau for a lovely afternoon. We admired the wonderful gardens created by Toby and Stephanie at Caerau Uchaf and later enjoyed the produce of their kitchens in the coffee shop. As it is bursting with all manner of intriguing toys, this would be a wonderful place to take visiting grandchildren on pocket money day!
The Gardens were started in 1994 when Toby and Stephanie moved here. The farmhouse was derelict and there was just a field and an overgrown hedge in front of the house. This was quickly removed revealing a spectacular view over the neighbouring farmland at the foot of the Berwyn mountain range. The transformation to what is here now is quite amazing.
