26th March dawned bright and sunny and eleven members donned their winter woolies and christened the new Boules pitch in Corwen.
Following a spell of very variable weather there was considerable doubt whether we could play on Thursday but the gods were kind and we were bathed in warm sunshine.
A good turnout saw two teams formed from eleven players who battled it out for supremacy. We were particularly pleased to welcome two new members who put in an excellent performance. At half time the black berets claimed the first decisive victory but undaunted the green team fought back to make it one game each by midday.
Not quite ready for lunch, we had to go for a decider and settled on a first to 5 to pick the winner and the inaugural match trophy was claimed by the greens.
A great morning was enjoyed by all.
