Penymynydd

On a very warm Friday 26th June 12 members of Berwyn and District u3a visited Penymynydd in Pwll-glas. Set in about an acre of ground and divided into small areas around a limestone outcrop the garden has herbaceous borders, water features, seating areas, mature trees, and a woodland walk. The garden is accessible but there are steps and slopes. Special features include limestone ridges, tree carving and a bridged water flow.

Our host told us all how the garden came about. The visit was rounded off by the serving of light refreshments. This was the first year of opening and with further development planned we look forward to going again next year.
