August walk will start from the free car park behind the bus stop in Llandegla at 10 am. Parking spaces are limited so where possible car share is advisable.

From Llandegla the route follows well defined and maintained footpaths, tracks and roads to Llyn Cyfynwy. There is an opportunity for a pleasant picnic by the lake and a short trip to the trig point at SJ 21506 54334 for distant panoramic views.

The walk was originally planned as a circular route returning by Bodidris Hall but a recent trial revealed that parts of this section are private and inaccessible. Some other sections have been ploughed or are too overgrown for comfort. We can return safely by following the outbound route in reverse. Total distance 8 miles, duration 4 hours plus lunch break.
