Berwyn and District u3a provides many opportunities for members from the Edeyrnion area of South Denbighshire to stretch their minds and sometimes their bodies.
Come and meet our members old and new at our Open Meeting in Canolfan Ni on the third Monday each month at 2 p.m. We usually have an engaging talk on a topic of general interest. You will discover a warm, friendly welcome with a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits, learn more about us and have an opportunity to join our u3a.
Our main activities take place in individual Interest Groups where our members share and enjoy a wide variety of interests. These meetings offer a chance to make new friends, share interests and develop new skills in an informal and friendly atmosphere. Annual subscription is currently £15 and includes our affiliation costs to u3a, free delivery of the u3a Matters magazine and third party insurance cover for any of our meetings. Our membership year begins on 1st April and the annual subscription may be reduced for members joining part way through the year.
Interest groups are open to all our members and most of them do not charge anything. For some groups the members subscribe to costs of their meeting venue although others meet in members houses. Members can join as many interest groups as they wish and we offer a taster session to non-members so that you can find out what a friendly bunch we are.
