This is designed as a group with no specific theme. generally within a range of around 50 miles each time we will travel to gardens, castles along canals or on trains which offer interest. Some will be means to an end while others, particularly train or canal journeys will be an end in themselves as they will offer scenic views.

Each trip will as far as possible be free or low cost but will exclude lunch although the individual organiser will try to find a reasonable priced café for lunch.

If costs are available, they have been outlined on the events page although these are only current prices and could be different at time of booking with the company involved.

On occasions our visits will be further and require overnight accommodation to allow us to make the most of the trip. Pre-booking will be necessary in most cases to ensure best price especially if there is a group booking discount available.

Where possible when using only private cars we will try to ensure that the minimum number are cars are used
